A community built around connection.
Caring about someone living with mental illness can bring both connection and uncertainty. The planned family support group creates space for relatives to be heard and learn from one another. The launch plan identifies a NAMI-trained facilitator as a preference, not a confirmed partnership or credential.
What the program is designed to offer
- A community for relatives and supporters.
- Opportunities to listen, share, and explore resources.
- A respectful conversation that does not replace professional treatment.
What a gathering may look like
The proposed structure starts with a welcome and group agreements, moves into a short topic introduction, and makes room for facilitated sharing. The gathering closes with resources and next steps. The launch plan proposes 90 minutes in total; final format and scheduling are subject to confirmation.
Peer support, not clinical treatment
This program is not a replacement for psychotherapy, medication management, or emergency services. Joining a community conversation does not establish a treatment relationship. Contact the office if you are looking for clinical care as well as community connection.
Before you attend
